I recently got my hands on an 8800, and when I turn it all I get the blank white screen with an hourglass. What can I do?

Since you "got your hands on it", I would recommend returning it to the rightful owner, or if you didn't steal/find it somewhere, try wiping the device with JL_Cmder and reloading the OS.

Well it wasnt stolen, I lent it to a friend of mine and he said it had stopped working so he sent it to me so i can try and fix it. But thanks for the help.

I would do DC recommended so you can get the OS installed and functioning.. Do he know what caused the device to do this?
