Default Audio files are unexpectedly large

I bought a 8 GB memory card and downloaded 2 albums and it took 4 GB of space. I am using BB desktop manager version 4.7 and use the option to download for optimal playback. This seems like way too much as a 8GB Ipod would hold much more. Any suggestions how to get more music on my BB??

Wirelessly posted (8320 Titanium)

What OS is your device running??? Certain OS's are only campatible with certain size cards. If you have an older OS, your device may only be reading the card as a 4gb, giving you the impression that the two albums took up the other 4gb...just a thought.
