Are BIS upgrades automatic on VZW? How do I find out what BIS version is used on my phone?

BIS is not something that is on your phone. It's part of the BlackBerry Infrastructure that your device communicates with.

The current version of BIS is 2.6, and Verizon has already adopted it.
