Default Some new cases for the 7100t

Please Login to Remove!

I was wondering if anyone has info on the following cases or if they have purchased products from these companies and can comment on quality/fit:

http://www.senacases.com/catalog/BLA...p-1-c-317.html

http://www.bellagiodesigns.com/searchproduct.php/62

I'm getting tired of waiting for the Vaja case!!!

Thanks

I have a Bellagio 7100 on order. I was advised that it shipped on Dec 29. I will let you know how I like it when it arrives, but there might be a delay because of New Year's.

Further to my previous post - The Bellagio cases typically have the magnetic "off switch" built in. They don't specify this for the 7100 but I supect it is included. The Sena case looks nicer but specifies a magnetic "closure system." I would be concerned that this means it does not have the magnetic "off" feature.
Furthermore the Bellagio is shipping now, whereas there is a two week wait for the Sena.

My two Senas worth! 8)

I've seem a couple of other cases out there, but I too am waiting to see what Vaja brings. I'm not to keen on the flip cases, seems like a hasle to me to try and answer the phone. Anyone haeve any experiences with these types of cases?

My only possible beef with theses cases is that although I own a BT headset I would hate to have that flap dangling over when I am checking messages or answering a call without the headset.

It seems to me that Vaja put the coming soon notice on their site because so many people had emailed them about the 7100t. The notice for the new case has been posted on their site for about 4-6 weeks now.

Got the bellagio 7100case. It's the "Brandy Blue" flip model. I'm disappointed because it does not seem to have the magnetic sleep feature. (Bellagio's typically do (I've had 2 cases before) but it's my fault for not confirming before ordering.
Secondly, the leather is very stiff and thick in the hinge area and it gets in the way while answering the phone. This will improve as the leather wears in.
It's too bad because its a well-made attractive case. The belt clip feature works well, but will only accept belts of 1 3/8" or less.

Default Senacases

I just received my new case from Senacases today:

http://www.senacases.com/catalog/BLA...p-1-c-317.html

It is a very nice looking case, leather is fine and it fits the phone tightly. However, as some of you had expected, it does not support the holstering function. I had sent an email prior to the order and the answer was somewhat ambiguous at that time. I decided to take a chance but at this point, I am not too sure whether to keep it or not. I am wondering whether I like the overall look of the case more or less than the sleep function.

Does anybody know whether a soft-holster is available? I could imagine a scheme by which locking the screen has the phone behaved as if it had just been hostered.

Did you get the belt clip with the case?

If so, how secure is it (prone to fall off etc)?

Is the flap a nuisance when you are using the phone without a headset?

Thanks!

I got the belt clip and it appears to hold the phone pretty nicely so far. It is ratcheted and permits the phone to hang at an angle. The clip is a bit longer than usual and tend to poke when not wearing a tucked shirt.

As far as the flap is concerned, it is definitely there above your head but I would not say that it is obstrusive: it usually dangles behind the phone rather than resting on my head.

I wish though I could hack a way to restore the hostering function maybe by sticking amagnet somewhere on (or below) my belt. I have not been able so far to trigger the sleep mode by just rubbing the original case while my phone is in its new Sena.

I guess you could try to make a small cut in the leather and slip in a flat magnet into the flap.

I remember reading a post in this forum about someone who did that with a flap style case and it worked.

You may not find the post as this was posted before the database crash.

Default Sena Case "Sleep" MOD

I got the sena case for the 7100t
It is really great except for the fact that it doesnt have the sleep function when you close it. I got around it by sticking a very thin washer about 1/2 inch above the log on the top flap and it works perfectly.
Kind of a pain to setup but it works

It has to be a magnet not just a piece of iron or steel!

So did you find a magnet that was strong enough or did you make your own with a washer? I've tried a couple of different ones and they haven't been strong enough. I ended up hacking my RIM case and using that one. Unfortunately I could only get it to work when it was stuck to the inside of the case, not inside the card holder slot like I wanted. I'm worried about it rubbing on the keys.

To those of you with the Senacase, does the case come with thin clear plastic to cover the LCD and keypanel or is it open?

Piel Frama has come out with their high end leather case for the 7100v, although I suppose it will also fit the 7100t as well. It's about US$65 depending on the exchange rate. I hear they make excellent cases.

The BerryPac case -- it's hard to tell from the pictures. Is it a case where you use it in the case, or remove it like a holster?

What kind of belt clip, is it a rotating kind?

I'm looking for some like were on e-bay, which is basically a holster with a flap (for security) that you can remove to use, and that rotates on some kind of clip (pure vertical ones do not fit me well).
