Default Does BB have a task manager?

Please Login to Remove!

Window Mobile phones have a sort of task manager that shows what applications are running, and you can manually shut them down from within it, sort of like Task Manager on a PC. I was wondering if Blackberry has something like that, be it built into the OS, or a third party application.

I want to know which processes are running in the background so that I can shut some down and save battery life. Also I have a 8800.

Wirelessly posted

Application Switcher=Alt+esc key. On some of the newer OS, you can hold down the BlackBerry key and bring up the Application Switcher.

Note too that some of the core applications (Messages, phone, home screen, etc.) cannot be closed down.

Technically, yes, there is a task manager. But it is not available without significant modification to your phone. Better to find other ways to save your battery than messing with running processes.

the best way: Keep hitting "closed" for each. Tedious, but it works.
