I am a BES admin, we have 89 8703e's on our BES. Users cannot open Office 2007 .docx documents, our carrier is Verizon.

Does anyone know the best solution to this?

I have checked out Docs to Go, but unfortunately it is not supported on OS platforms under 4.5. The highest OS that Verizon has for the 8703e is 4.2.

If I can't get a program (preferrably free) to do this, I would consider attempting a group policy to force the default save from .docx to .doc. Anybody know where I would find this in GPMC?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I have a General breathing down my neck on this one.

Tell the General he needs to approve buying new devices.
