Unhappy calendar catastrophe!!!

Please Login to Remove!

My 8830 now has like 3 different calendars.,....
None of them is synching properly to outlook...i see no future meeting or biz trips that I do see when i look at my BB calender....
I have the following:
Device default - has important info
facebook -nothing and not important
My email- Important stuff on there....

I cannot figure how when I enter an apt or trip...it selects for me the calendar i should use...why is that???
can someone help me sync everything back to outlook.....
I look like a schmuck double booking time..
Thanks,

Wirelessly posted (8820)

I'm familiar with BIS. If there is a BES issue here then I'm totally ignorant of it.

Look at options, advanced options, default services. Whatever is set for calendar, that is what outlook is going to sync. My advice is set that to the same as your default email address.

When you create a calendar entry, you have the choice of calendar. If you want it to sync with Outlook, make sure you select whatever you set as default.

That's going forward. As far a cleanup, I don't know. Not sure offhand the best way to do it.

Delete unneeded service books that end with [CICAL].

That should fix it.

Then hit 'undelete"

Deleting your CICAL entries will send all calendar entries to device default, then when you undelete/or resend service books, your calendar events will default back to the default CICAL entry.

Aha - so that's where the magic happens. Thanks for the followup post. I've been running without any CICAL service books for about a month now (pending resolution of some BES issues).

Now that I'm back on a BES, I'll try this little trick once again...

Options -> Advanced Options -> Default Services, change the CICAL entry to the email address you want..

Is the email address listed there?
