would a 7130 be better for someone like myself with big fingers, compared to waiting for 8700 i am on verizon now? also do you know when there will be reviews on this device and where to find them? last part are there any navigation programs available for gps directions that would work i already have a bt gps from an ipaq?

thanks

dont be shy, just get a bluetooth keyboard for the mofo...

or just get a chopstik. just break it in half and theres a perfect typing stylus for the BB 7100 series.

This is a very rude statement even in jest and I think this should not be tolerated in this public forum.

I agree. Most of us are after serious advice and the benefit of experience from our peers! It's people like this that drive people away form otherwise useful and friendly forums.

I hope this person was just trying to be funny - but it didn't work!

Sorry, but I can't offer any advice on the options for big fingers. I know hat I have large hands (I'm not fat, nor am I American, I am just tall with large hands and an Aussie!) I have a 7290 and have adapted very readily to the keyboard.

I trialed a 7100 before I bought the 7290, but struggled to get my head around the keyboard layout.

Hope this helps a little!

I've been on other forums where the moderators would immediately throw anyone close to jboogie off the forum in the spirit of keeping the board for it's intended purpose of sharing information without flaming egos getting in the way.

No need for that stuff here. Just my $.02

Hi Davesa - we've had to answer the same question here. The 7100 devices (excluding the 7130, which we don't have yet) are not good for people with large fingers. We find them extremely difficult to type on, since the keys are so close together and very small. We recommend the 7250/7290 for people with large finders.

I too have very large fingers and hands, in fact all of my buddies call me "manhands". I had a 72xx (about the size of the 8700) and the first time I used it, it shot across my office. Recently I switched to a 7100g because I like carrying around the smaller form factor. Bottom line is neither fit my handsize, but I managed to use each of them on a daily basis.

What I really need is for someone to figure a way to get a full size PC keyboard attached to my BB.
