What I did: Tried to install new themes via the alx file in a thread. This for some reason completely screwed my 7100t. Finally had to to a wipe with javaloader. Reinstalled the OS ( and phone worked. Updated with a restore that I had saved about a month ago to get my settings back. When i reinstalled the OS, I had the Download Fun icon and email setup icon that everyone was having problems getting back after the last software upgrade. When i did the restore to get my settings back, both of these disappeared. When i saved the backup originally (month ago) i had the icons. Why would these be there after i originally reinstalled the OS and go away when i restored the settings with the backup which had the icons when i created it? Tried resending the service books, didn't fix it. Are the downlaod fun icon and email setup icon supposed to be there now that tmobile changed the way you log onto email via the web? any solutions short of reloading the OS AGAIN? I'd like to have the icons present and also have my settings reconfigured with my backup as opposed to going back in and doing it all myself. I'm not on BES.
Also, the problem that this all started with was this: when i loaded the alx file with app loader and the phone rebooted, it just had jibberish on the screen, looked like a really plain theme (white background, simple black icons) that would overlay and the screen would not refresh. Each action i took would just write over the other stuff on the screen and basically "pile up". Anyone else have this happen or know if i did something wrong? Sorry for the long post, but i'd really like to fix this. Thanks in advance for any advice.
