Default About the Browser and BES - Privacy?

As I understand it, when I use my 7100g (Cingular) to browse, I'm going through my companies intranet (browser). Is this correct?

If so, is there a way to configure either the Blackberry or Cingular browser to go around the company web, so I'm not monitored, and limited?
