I don't have it, but I'll take a stab.

* 1. Polyphonic/Monophonic MIDI, MP3, ADPCM, WAV
2. OS 4.1.0.92 (Apps: 4.1.0.117)
3. ---
* 4. Yes.
5. This is part of OS 4.1 not individual handhelds.

* Note: Based on net_rim_bb_profiles_tunes.cod; however net_rim_bb_profiles_tunes_tunebundles_tunes7130c.c od only has information for MIDI.

One thing I have noticed is that when I slide it back into the provided case I do get button pushes.

The screen is nice but it's a bit hard to tell which messages are new and which have been read. It's the difference in a light blue and a dark blue envelope.

I'm not sure about the keyboard yet. It will take a bit of getting used to.

I would be very interested to know what download sppeds you get - are you able to use EV-DO?

broadband reports have a mobile speed test. I've tried this with my Samsung i600 (which I plan to replace with the 7130e on Dec 1st when they are retail available) and, one time on 1X had a max download speed on 93Kbps.

The test download page is:

http://www.dslreports.com/mspeed?jisok=1

Can you run some speed tests from your 7130e browser and let us know the results, please,

I also have a i730. I put them side by side and did the speed tests a couple of times. The i730 in my kitchen was getting about 300kbs and the 7130 got about 250Kbs.

How quickly does the browser render web pages?

I'm debating whether or not to get this Blackberry. What I really want is to finally have a device that is enjoyable to browse full HTML pages on, and not just mobile pages.

For example, if you were to go to the CNN.com home page, about how long does it take to load the entire thing, with javascript and all options turned on. If you could test that for me I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

It took about 25 seconds for the entire cnn.com page to load with EV-DO. I also have a samsung i730 and it took just about the same time to load. To be honest with you Eric, the browsing experience with pocket IE is much better than on the blackberry. You should look into the i730. You can still get email, you have a full QWERTY keyboard, a screen that you can use a styilus on. The downfalls are the i730 is a bit bigger and is heavier. It also doesn't have as much battery life.

The only thing I don't care among the non-BB devices is the VZEmail service. I need realtime push email, not a polling of POP servers.

i can confirm with the 800c that the page also comes up in about 25 seconds with full edge coverage

Hi, I'm consider to get either i730 or 7130 for my business use, has anyone use these to trade stock online, is the web browser good and secure enough for simple buy/sell online? Sorry I had no experience on either PPC or blackberry before. Thanks

Actually, I've been considering either waiting to get the XV6700 when it comes out, or jumping ship over to Sprint and getting the PPC6700. It's a little bit smaller than the i730, and from what I've read it has much better battery life -- perhaps due to Windows Mobile 5.0. Also, the keyboard on the i730 is rather tiny, but the one on the 6700 seems very good.

25 seconds for the CNN home page is not bad though. I just timed it on my work computer (Pentium III hooked up to a SDSL line), and it took 12 seconds from the time I pressed <enter> after typing the address, until the end of the loading. The CNN home page is a good test because it has flash, some javascript, and many pictures. When I used to have a 7100g with Cingular, it would take around 2 minutes to load that same page.

If that page loads in 25 seconds, then most pages should load in under 10 seconds, which makes this a very usable browser. The 7100g was so slow that I quickly realized that it was only really usable for loading mobile-sized pages, and only other pages in an emergency. It was not enjoyable at all to browse normal HTML pages -- you could die waiting for it to load.

CNN just took over a minute for me to load. I wonder If I have a config issue with browsing. Is there anything I should set to help me browse faster?

What is the difference between the internet and BB browser?

I still cant get to OWA with BB's here either.
