what are you paying for service....

I have been looking at all the service brands and verizon has a core package for 79.99 with 450 anytime, night and weekend, unlimited blackberry.

What is the serivce options you got with cingular?

I haven't set that up yet. They want you to wait until you get the equipment and then call in. However, I plan to use a 2-line family plan at $70/mo for 700 anytime minutes, unlimited BB for $45/mo, and I guess I need to add text messaging for another $5/mo (about). I usually throw away more minutes from roll-over than I use on-air each month so that's why I'm looking at a lower minute plan.

I just ordered through Cingular Premier before seeing the recent messages. So, I get the privilege of paying $349 with no rebate. They said no rebates for business customers.

I also went with the priority shipping. So I should get it tomorrow.

What are the upgrade rules. I have heard of exception upgrades and stuff like that. How are you getting it for $349? I thought it was $449 without contract.

To add to the confusion....

I just hung up with Cingular Customer Service. However, the price for Texas is $319 after rebate. He is going to check on the $299 price for me. Another rep has to actually place the order for him (I got the "new guy")through "Compass?".

Sooo... I hope that he gets the stuff entered quickly. ... stay tuned!

My contract was started in August 2004 and they gave me the "upgrade" price of $349.99 (less the $50 rebate) today. Not sure what the rules are but my monthly bill was >$130/mo and I heard rumors there is some threshold they like to see for early upgrades.

I am just ready for a new phone, I have the Treo 650 and it really sucks you can't make calls on it because you can't hear.

I called the business line and the consumer line...NEITHER said it was available. The guy at the business line said December 1st.

This is insane.

That has to be the most inconsistent company. Seems like you get a diff answer depending on who you talk to.

I was eligible for upgrade already when I ordered. I think that my Premier $349 price is no contract, therefore no rebate.

Seems like every Cingular rep has a different price to quote.

it is in the system. make them look for it. dont take "there not avalible yet" for an answer. because so many people have called for it they dont even look anymore and say that. she said they are in the system as of last night. the rep might not know yet. hope this helps
