Default Getting an 8700c?

Please Login to Remove!

So I bought a 7100g last week (first BlackBerry, I had no idea the 8700 was coming so soon or I would have waited). So now I have 30 days (from last Thursday) to return mine, and I want to get an 8700c.

The guy at the Cingular store (in Needham, MA) doesn't know when they'll be getting them in stock, but he says it could be as long as a month. Is he feeding me a load of crap? From what I've read on here they should be in Cingular stores sooner than that. If he's right, I'm not sure I want to wait around for them to get them and then get screwed by not being able to return my 7100.

I'd just order one off Amazon, but it says "usually ships in 1-2 weeks", and that could be cutting it a little close too. How would you guys recommend going about making sure I get one within, say, 2 weeks?

I bought a 7100G on 11-11-05 @ Cingular store.

Returned it yesterday @ 2 PM and just opened my new 8700C 1/2 hour ago. Ordered it over the phone @ the Cingular store.

Call Cingular 1st. then go to the store- they let me get the 2 year contract price and reupped my contract just like I did on the 11th.

Good luck.

Another question, though... the order number they gave me - how can I track the order's progress online? I don't see anything on cingular.com about it...
