Default Backordered?

Please Login to Remove!

I placed my order yesterday via Business Care and I called this morning to get my tracking number and the rep said they were out of stock and my order was in "backorder" status. Anyone else get this?

I placed an order yesterday but when I called today I learned the order was lost completely and I had to place a new one. The first number I called today, 800-331-0500, had people that knew nothing about the device (but took my lost order yesterday) so I hung up and called the 877-201-9521 number and received competent service.

Give them a try. No indication anything was on backorder.

OK- how's this-- I just checked my on-line order status and it shows "Backordered"

This really sucks!

I placed my order @ 3:20pm PST and they said only a couple were left. It has shipped and will be at my office by 3pm today ( wow, less than 24 hour turnaround ). When did you place your order?

Anyone talk to a rep who had an ETA?

According to someoone in business ordering and fufillment indicated that they are receiving 800 from RIM tonight or tomorrow and will ship the remaining orders on Friday. :(

That's actually good to hear, I thought it was going to be more than a week wait for them to get new shipments in...whew. As long as I get it by the end of next week, I'm happy.

A Business Care rep I talked to Monday looked into an inventory system and he found 2 shipments that had delivery dates of 11-26 (Saturday, seems strange) but they were for 11,000 and 16,000 units. Based on that, I thought they would not be shipping until next week Monday so this first batch must have been several hundred units at several fulfillment centers.
