Default New To BlackBerry (7290 / T-Mobile)

Please Login to Remove!

Hi!

I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm new to the world of BlackBerry's. I received my 7290 in the mail today. I am SO excited (but, I hope I can figure out how to use ALL the functionality).

The phone part's working like a charm, but my data hasn't been provisioned yet. My seller said it would take two hours --- two hours passed, so I called T-Mobile. They said it could take up to 72 hours. I guess I will have to learn to be a bit more patient

Well just for the record, I dunno about 72 hours... I added the Blackberry in place of my old SE T610 and it took like 5 minutes for the data service to be up and running on my 7100t and T-Mobile.

Turned out that I had to call T-Mobile support and they hooked me up right away.

I didn't have to wait at all to get connected on the phone, and they set up me in good time. I give high praise to their phone support.

I don't know why the documentation I received told me to click on one of the icons to set it up... because that never worked.

I just got my blackberry yesterday at US Cellular. I brought my same # over from Nextel. I'm not able to recieve text messages from anyone other than US Cellular people. No one can seem to track down the issue. When I go to send myself a text message from yahoo.com, it says carrier not recognized.
