No System Software Was Found On Your Handheld
 

I am having difficulty using the Application Loader tool in the Blackberry Desktop Manager software. Whenever I open the Application Loader, I get the following message:

"No system software was found for your handheld.
Contact your system administrator or service profider for information on obtaining handheld system software."

I am using version 3.6.3.10 of the Desktop Manager software (what came on the CD with my device).

My Blackberry has version 3.8.0.128 (Platform 1.8.0.9.1), Cryptographic Kernel 3.8.0.18

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong here? Thanks in advance for any help!

The handheld software does not come on the CD with the BlackBerry. You must download it from the appropriate web site for the specific device (7200 series; 7700 series, whatever). There is a sticky somewhere which details where to get the appropriate software from.

Download the software and execute it. The restart Desktop Manager and Application Loader should find it just fine.

I've downloaded the software from Tmobile, as well as the software from Rim (SP3a). Still no luck - same error message. Any other suggestions?

Locate and delete Vendor.XML on your C: drive.

Then restart Desktop Manager.

Outside of that, I am out of ideas.

That didn't seem to do the trick either. I guess I will just have to wipe device clean and start over. I appreciate your help.
