Yellow Streaks on 7105t ...

I am on my third 7105t from T-Mo, in the past 2 weeks. I returned my original one due to yellow streaks in the screen. Each replacement since then has been worse.

Any thoughts on what's going on ?? T-Mo BB support are nice enough, but claim to have never had these types of complaints. I find it hard to beleive.

I really like the unit, but it gets frustrating dealing with this.

:???:

This is gonna sound stupid possibly, but have you took the screen protector off any of these units...sometimes, they can have a weird effect in certain lights  ...like I said...it probably sounds stupid, but I can't believe that you've had 3 faulty handsets.

Well, doing a quick search for "yellow" in the forum, seems to be that you are the only one that has reported this, twice now. And on three different units now? And each has been worse and they haven't seen these complaints? Or for that fact, users of any kind are not shy in complaining, why, just reading forums you'd think all phones, PDA's, BB's are POS...and yours are the only complaints on this I've been able to find....

So, it is either a) your eyes (which was your original post question), b) you are sensitive to something that is there but apparently doesn't bother anyone else, c) it is the particular set of lights that you are examining this unit or d) your imagination?

That's two!

But it doesn't seem to be pandemic - like other problems - and what are the chances of getting one, much less three in a row?

Perhaps going to a brick and mortar store and checking them out until you get a good one?

I'm sure you're trying to be helpful...or something......but...which other threads are you talking about...I haven't seen them (doesn't mean they aren't there)...please list so we can see

my error the other threads here talk about scratches on inside of lcd, but for the life of me I cannot remember where I read about the blotches.

The other thing is this, I only had one defective unit, which means it is possible that there are other defects like in any manufacturing process by any company.
Humans are imperfect and so are anything they create.

No probs mate

I agree that there will be faulty units, but three in a row is unlikely...though certainly not imposible

Did. Enter the word "Yellow". Other than all we have added on this thread, there are only two, by the same person.

Tried Google and HoFo too. No go.

Search through my posts then, and I have mentioned it. 'Nuff Said

Alberto, this is not a flame, but it seems if you don't beleive the original poster, then why bother with it? You are taking way more interest then seems normal for this problem with his Blackberry.

Never said he was lying. I think that there is another mechanism at play here which is producing the yellorw streaks for him. Read my post, again.

Searching your threads, I do find that you mentioned that before - my apologies- don't know why the search engine did not pick it up - but it still means that there are only two people that have mentioned this. The possibility that others have and is not getting found by the search engine is there, of course.

And this is not a flame either, but I have posted on this 4 times on this thread, including this post. You have posted...4 times. We both seem to be equally interested, no? And yes, this will be the last I post or respond. I think my point has been well made and supported.

By next week I will have switched to the 8700 and passed my BB down.

Unless we have yellow streaks and blotches on the 8700!

Pax

Thanks for the input from everyone. Yes, the protective cover has been removed.

When I hold the two units next to each other and look at the home screen, the two replacement units have a noticably duller and yellowish screen. And yes, they are both set the same as far as the brightness options are concerned.

My original one has a much brighter screen but still has the yellow streaking through it, most noicable on white screens such as when you are composing a new message.

Since I had to order the unit through T-Mo CSR for pricing reasons, I have to continue working with them. Problem is that every time I have to return a unit, I have to pay for shipping it back. I supposed I can go to a real store and compare, but it will not solve my issue since the stores can not issue a replacement handset for a CSR originated order.

I and several people have looked at the units side by side under various lighting conditions and in various types of lights. Same issue.

Just hard to beleive that I am having that much bad luck with these things.
