Exclamation AOL mail on Cingular BIS - HELP ME!!!

Please Login to Remove!

Is BIS different than BWC?
I have move from Nextel BWC and ported my service over to Cingular, inlcluding my BB service. After setting up BIS it is working fine and all of my email is being forwarded from my AOL account with in 15 minutes.

HERE IS THE PROBLEM

In the past with BWC, when I log onto my AOL account with my computer ALL of my email that is being forwarded to my BB is sitting in the un-opened/NEW email on my AOL account. That has been the way it has always been and should be.

NOW I get mail forwarded to my 8700 but when I log into my AOL account with my desktop or laptop, the email that was forwared to my BB is not there. NOT in my unopened/NEW mail folder on AOL. HOW COULD THIS BE? It is not even in my opened, read or old email folder. I can not believe that BIS is eating my mail and leaving nothing left behind but it is not there.

Every morning I get an email from my Wachovia bank account with my balance. It gets pushed to my 8700 at the regular time. BUT, when I opened AOL today, nothing from the bank. How could it be getting pushed to my 8700 and not be on AOL. I have even gone to my Wachovia account and it only lists the AOL address for this notification.

I am still getting all my email on my BB but I would like it all to be waiting for me on my AOL website, too

Someone help me!

Greg,

I know when I set my GMail to pop down and forward to my blackberry BIS account, I checked off the option on GMail settings page to "save a copy of pop mail on GMail". That way, a copy of email stays on Gmail when popping down or forwarding. Check AOL settings to see if you have the same option.

AOL does not have a provision to forward it's mail to BIS. The Blackberry server has got to go to my AOL account to get the mail it pushes. I am checking all the settings I can find.

Forgive me for I am STUPID! Problem was user induced!

When setting up my Cingular BIS acount for AOL, I FAILED to check the box "Leave messages on server". This was causing BIS to delete my messages from AOL as it pushed them to my device. A single little check in the box and problem is solved!!!!!

So Cingular supports AOL mail accounts??? Can someone verify that? I just told a couple people that this was not possible.. My mistake I guess!

I use AOL and Cingular.

Right now I am using Link2exchange so I guess I am sort of a BES.

But it worked BEFORE I was on Link2exchange when I was just a lonely, normal individual user. My 8700 Blackberry and AOL talked very easily right out of the box with the standard Blackberry settings via the "Individual Email Activation" icon.

It is not fast. I believe it has the same 15 minute window to get email on the handheld. It is usually faster though.

but anyway, yes, I do (and always have) gotten AOL email on my Blackberry.
