Default using 7100t as a modem. not working

I saw and read the old thread concerning the use of the 7100t as a wireless modem. I do get to connect, but cant use anything after that. I see traffic in the phone, but webpages and mIRC do not load. I guess T-mobile has the ports blocked only thing open is 8080 and 9100 from what the rep said(he was a fellow user who is always trying to find ways to get around the system also) he seemed very sypmithetic to our cause..

Anyways, other than the settings in the original post, what can I do to get this to work?

thanks

Joe

Default 7100t stopped working as modem for me on T-Mobile

Not sure what else you can do joe. I got my 7100t about 5 months ago. I followed the excellent instructions in this forum for setting it up as a modem. It worked, and has been working like a charm (pun intended) for months. Sometime in the last month it stopped working for me.

I am still able to connect and when I watch the network status in XP it sure seems like packets are being sent and received, however I am unable to browse any web sites, or even ping. When I ping I just get timeouts.

Also I recently started experiencing a problem with email. I have two imap accounts setup in the Bberry web client. For some reason the web client is consistently NOT sending email for one of the two accounts. Email for the other account is showing up just fine.

Not sure if these problems are related but they started at roughly the same time.

Anyone have any ideas?

I fear a call to T-Mobile support is in my future :(

Regards,
---Waye.

Default Call to T-Mobile coming

Mark,

Thanks for the information. I'll call T-Mobile and voice my displeasure, as you suggest in the post you pointed me to.

Regards,
---Wayne.
