T-Mob BB Price plan issues

I had the following price plan: the $59.99 bundle with a 1000 minutes
that includes unlimited data, text messages & NO nights and weekends.

I was originally told by T Mobile that nights & weekends could be added to the plan $4.99 for weekends & $9.99 for nights.

Making my bill roughly $75 a month before taxes.

Now here's my problem:
Recently I have been told by T Mobile that nights & weekends can't be added to the $59.99 data bundle plan.

That means
$59.99 for 1000 min w/ Nights and Weekends
$19.99 blackberry unlimited add on, that doesn't include text
$ 9.99 for unlimited text messaging

Makes the the total bill $90 before taxes.

If nights and weekends could be added to the plan as it call with all other plans, the bill would come out to be $15 cheaper.

Would anyone know of the best rate plans to choose from that include unlimited Text, Data, nights and weekends? Or if other providers have better deals.

Thanks in Advance

I guess you should talk to the supervisor and let them know that you were promised this earlier. Chances are if you call many times they will allow it.

The wording for the price plans at times can get as tricky as parking signs in NYC. It's only natural to think that unlimited data would include text messages. In the case of the bundled BB plan $59.99 it does but in case of the $19.99 BB add-on it doesn't. Am I the only one that 'ticketed' on the bill because of tricky wording?

Thanks for the advice, that should be true good old fashion loyalty and sticking to their word. That shouldn't be too much to ask for.

I just found this link to a user having similar issues sometime back on the forum...

I have 1000 whenever, unlimited nights and weekends for 39.99. I have the additional data plan (BES, unlimited data) for 29.99 extra.

That's a great plan, I was offered that plan in the summer but didn't take it because I thought there was some catch to it. Looks like I missed out, that looks to be the best plan.

Does your $29.99 a month service include unlimited txt? I think the add on is now $19.99 maybe you can get them to lower it for you, they might ask you to extend ur contract another year. If your lucky they might not.

My data plan (29.99) includes unlimited text messaging, data access, and BES access which works great, as I keep control of my minutes by text messaging rather than calling ppl.

blackbelt...try calling customer service and explain situation. They usually will make a change in plan for a customer in good standing. In CA, the data plan can be bundled with any voice plan for 20/mo (30/mo if enterprise). There are usually some good rate plans promos going.

Good luck!

very true if on a promo plan.. like the one bossj52 has, T Mob has unbeatable rates. 40 + 30 for that's $70 for nights/weekends, unlimited txt, data and 1000(1100 if you get loyaty minutes) an incredible deal...

I agree. I have that same plan, its simply the Preferred GM promo plan ($39.99) with the BlackBerry add-on ($19.99) and the unlimited text add-on ($9.99) = $69.99

... and youre right on about those extra 100 loyalty minutes. I have no idea how they got added to my service tho. Seriously, its this plan that has kept me from switching services.

blackbelt 01-23-2005 03:53 PM

the ones lucky enough to also get the buddy time plan, that gives unlimited mobile to mobile and text messaging for 9.99... that's 69.97... best bang for the buck...
