Default Just bought a Blackberry 7250, what to expect?

Please Login to Remove!

I just purchased a Blackberry 7250 off of eBay and I'm not sure what to expect out of the device. What is it going to be able to do for me? Can it play audio? Store photos? Play video? Download games?

I didn't do much research beforehand, it was kind of an impulse buy

The main thing I want to know, is how does it handle e-mail? Can I use an existing POP3 email account with the device?

Just looking for a few answers, thanks!!

Wow - you certainly didn't do much research...

Can it play audio? No, and ringtone support is very limited
Store photos? Very limited
Play video? Hell no
Download games? Yes, for games designed for the BlackBerry

I suggest you read the sticky threads - particularly on how to set up POP3 e-mail to work on your BB.

I didn't expect to win the eBay auction that I bid on.

From the bit of research I DID do, it seems that they are more purpose built devices, which is fine I suppose.

I guess one of the more important questions is, will my provider (in this case, Telus) bill me for airtime used to update RSS feeds, check email, do instant messaging etc?

What to expect? A big suprise... especialy when you relize that you'll need to add a blackberry data plan to your existing account. Those range from 19.99 to as high as 59.99 ive seen for unlimited per month. - You won't get billed for airtime, since it doesnt support CSD data (which is data that uses voice minutes; meaning you cant just dial your normal isp); but you'll need the blackberry data added if you wish to do anything like you mentioned.

Edit: http://www.telusmobility.com/content...rry_plans.html << See that for your blackberry plan pricing... Looks like it will run you $60 big ones per month for unlimited data.
