Thumbs down Just unlocked Blackberry 8820

Please Login to Remove!

Hi just unlocked my blackberry 8820 from a orange carrier using an unlock code. It says, all network things disabled (as it should do if it is unlocked). Yet after i put in my o2 sim the signal bar in the top right reads 'Off'; why is this, and how can i make my 02 sim work?
Cheers
Tim

If it says OFF
then you need to turn the mobile network on in manage connections.

Wirelessly posted (overwhelmingly stressed)

On the home screen there should be an antennae looking icon select it and the select mobile network set to on

Default 8820 issues

I just got a blackberry 8820 with the pin 2544981E, how do i confirm that the BB service is still active or that it is still registered with RIM, before i send it to globacom nigeria for activation.
Occasionally when i try to access blackberry website, it re-directs me to blacberry.mobi which indicates it was actually meant for a french speaking country, i need ur help guys b4 paying for activation.

Using the gprs service i can not access sites like facebook mobile for blackberry and gmail mobile too
