Default Picture ID calling

Please Login to Remove!

Just got my 8700 today and I tried searching the forums for this but did not see anything. Do you know if you can have the BB use an picture when someone calls? I know a lot of phones have this now, and since the BB supports JPG's, I would think there is the option somehow of having a persons picture pop up on the screen when they call. Thanks for any help, I have been looking through these forums for the past few days before my unit came and you guys have already helped me a ton with all your info.

No go, not an option with the current OS.

Maybe in the future there will be a 3rd party app that will allow this.

I heard good things about Notifire, yes.

I suspect that the API's are now available for photo caller ID -- Someone just needs to program a third party photo caller ID program for the 8700. Maybe contact the Notifire people about it?
