Default Can a 7100i BB work w/o a data plan from Nextel?

Is there a way around the data plan? Does anyone know?

It can work...you just wont be able to use the web/email features that require data...all you will have is a phone and MMS...

EDIT: you edited your original question of will the BB work withut data....to answer your current question...NO stop being cheap

Wirelessly posted (your electric?: BlackBerry7100i/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/103 UP.Browser/5.0.3.3 UP.Link/5.1.2.16)

If you want somethin for PIM functions I would look at the i930 for thos features and add the unlimited data for $10. pink

Yes, but you have to trick it. I had the 7510 as a regular phone and they put in a sim card from a 510 I think. What I wanted was a phone that would sinc all of my outlook information. The blackberry was the only nextel phone that would do that. When I started getting serious with moving my business to eBay, I upgraded to the full deal.

My question is, why would you ask advice on this site? The people here think that if you don't do things the way they do, your a moron. You can't ask a simple question without getting some 15y.o. pimple faced geek getting toys from daddy to pop in with some smart comment that has nothing to do with the actual question. There are more friendly blackberry sites out there.

is that bad advice that pink gave? I think it was great advice.

uf you have the laptop, then you should just use that and a phone, I see the BB, as something in between both. good luck.
