Default Notes 5.0 address book sync with 7250

Please Login to Remove!

I have a 7250 ver 4.0. Connecting to a BES 4.0. DM software ver 4.1. I have no problem with mail or calendar but I can't get my address book to synch.
Everytime in the Configure PIM and selecting address book with the lotus Notes 5.0/6.0 option the OK button is grayed out. If I go to the address book on my BB I do not have a "wireless synchronization" option to turn it on or off.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

from the BES manager pull up the user account and go to PIM Sync
Scroll all the way to the bottom and in there select the address book
on the right hand side where it says Location server - put the users mail server and where it says Location relative path - place the location for the users mail file. Once you have that in place. you should be able to sync wireless.. Y are you u using the desktop manager.. you can provision the unit wireless with 4.0 I don't user the desktop manager at users desk. One less piece of software i have to support. from the users lotus notes you should be able to go ACTIONS AND THEN SYNC ADDRESS BOOK. this option will sync your address book wirelessly...

let me know if that works@

Unfortunately I don't have access to the BES. We have a corporate address book which is large and stored on the Notes servers in our corporate headquarters. We have
personal address books stored locally on our personal computers. This personal address book is the one I need to sync.

you may want to go ahead and re-install the software but the option to initialize the wireless activity or sync is done through the bes. there you will be able to specify the option to do that.. otherwise you might as well just do it from the wire sync. if you are not able to sync through the wire then please take a look at you ini file and make sure that eveyrthing is correct as far as the location fo the names.nsf file. if all else fails, remove software including reg keys and reinstall along with a new copy of handheld software just in case.
