Medianet package, or WIX, or wap.cingular - what are all these options.

My corporate site just says data plan which I know is different that our unlimited BB plan. Also I am a legacy Blue user so when you post indicate Cingular Orange (now at&t) or Blue (AT&T). What does medianet get you; what does mmode get you? Are these just marketing names for the items above?

What are the options that you have and what do you understand them to do.
