Can you guys recommend a good POP3 mail app, and do I need to change/set anything with my cingular account to get POP3 mail if I already have the unlimited BB data plan?

the device apparently supports POP3 accounts, and I can access GMail via the web, but can I access my ISP mail via POP3 settings?

Yes; there is a sticky thread at the top of the General BlackBerry discussions. Read up on the BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS). It will push your POP3 e-mail down to your 8700.

I have my own domain and for some reason it doesn't work on the BIS webclient setup. This was a good thing because I went to my domain's mail control panel, set it to forward to my blackberry email and now I get personal push email to my BB without needing BES. I receive all mail instantly. It also allows me to receive the same mail using outlook at home so I get it on both. I couldn't ask for anything more. If your mail doesn't support forwarding just go to www.made2own.com and get your own domain for $10 a year.
