8703e E-mail message icon that no one can explain? Please help!!!!
 

I have had my blackberry 8703e for about 4 years now. About a year ago, on the message screen, my email alert icon changed. Instead of the icon being 1 single envelope with a 1,2,3, etc. number of emails I had unread next to the single envelope. This worked correctly for about 3 years just like the one picture on most websites if wanting to purchase a blackberry 8703e.

Now, whenever I get new e-mails, the message envelope appears in the same place on the main screen, but it shows an overlapping e-mail envelope on top of the other envelope, just to the right of it. For example, if I just received 2 new email messages, my blackberry would show an envelope on the main screen with the number 2 on the left side of the envelope. Now, if I just received 2 new email messages, my blackberry would show an envelope on the main screen with another envelope overlapping it with the number 2 on the left side. It will do this if I just receive 1 email message too.

Can anyone help? I am on a corporate email system and blackberry and verizon have not been able to give me an answer. I have other people at my work with the same blackberry and verizon and they do not have this problem. I just purchased a new blackberry 8703e and it still does the same thing. What do I need to do to get it back to showing just one envelope?
