Question What is your 7130e Battery life?

Please Login to Remove!

After my first day with the 7130e I noticed that the battery was drained in less than one day. I used the device that first day to set it up, play around with my new toy, make 2 quick calls less than 2 minutes each, and turn on bluetooth to sync with my laptop. So ok I expected it to be drained. The next day I made sure not to use it and turned off bluetooth. I let it sit in the holster all night so the screen wasn't on and when I pulled it out this morning it was again drained.

So is this what I should expect for a battery life? Less than 24 hours standby? The specs say up to 8 days standby, and I will give them a day or two but seven...

I'm sorry I can't comment on the battery life of the 7130e.

But why does everyone insist on letting their batteries run dry?
You know these batteries like to be fully charged. They like to be on power as much as possible. Your only supposed to cycle the battery two or three times when you first get it, by this I mean fully charge and discharge. After that, don't let it discharge completely if at all possible. As I said, these batteries like to have full capacity, so why not charge it every night.

Yes, I understand that, and I intend to charge it every night. However, how can they post a spec of "Up to 8 days standby" for battery life and not get anywhere near that in a real life scenario? I am posting this because IF I have a sub par battery then I should expect not to get 3 hours talk time for the battery as well. And that will bother me more than the overnight drain.
