Default LED Red Light Indicator

Please Login to Remove!

Hello, I am new to this forum and already noticed a lot of insightful information. I am hoping that someone can help me with this question.

Here's the situation, I have a user with a Blackberry 8830 and when he receives an email, the blinking red light indicator turns off after about 20 minutes. Question is whether this feature is supposed to act this way where the LED stops blinking after a given amount of time?? I was under the impression that the red light stops blinking only if you open the mailbox.

Appreciate your help in advance.

Welcome to the forums.

The light will stop blinking ~15 mins after a notification is received. This is to help with battery life as well. There are 3rd party applications that allow the light to remain on until the message is read.
