Default Dialing on the 8700

I am trying to change the dialing behavior on my 8700c. On the 7290, when in the phone application, you could type out a contact name and it would search/resolve. On my 8700c, all I get is the numbers, no text so no contact resolution. Has anyone found a way to set the dial behavior back to the 7290 scheme?

just hold your send (green) key and it will show you the adress book and choose which contact to call

Default Dialing

Thanks. That works well.

Strange that they would change the scheme. Adding that, I can see, but removing a perfectly good way to search names when calling? Seems odd.

true, but the nice thing about it is that you can use the new scheme of doing that from any app in the 8700..(i think so )

It is awesome! I was continually tripping over the fact that with my 7290, I sometimes wanted to dial by name, and sometimes by number. It was cumbersome to make sure the cursor was at the top of the screen rather than on the list of names to do dial by name. Now I just need to get used to how I press the dial button...
