Default Address Book Attachments

Please Login to Remove!

I am going crazy. I have been sent a BB address book entry as an attachment. The message shows up with the attachment however I can not figure out how to import the attached address into my address book. For that matter I canít even open the attachment and view the address. Am I missing something here?

Any help would be great!

Thanks

What handheld do you have? What service? Are you on BES or BIS? Could use some more info here. I'll try to help based on my 7100t experience. Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the email. You should see a small book icon with a name next to it. Put your cursor on it, click the wheel and click "view attachment." Then click the wheel again and click "add to address book." If "view attachment" doesn't show up in the menu, remove your battery and reboot and try again. I believe you have to have the Blackberry attachment service installed as well. You can look under tools, settings, applications and see if it's been installed.

Sorry...I totally forgot to put all the key info--7100T, BIS, OS 4.0.2 is my set up.

When I scroll down to the attachment Icon and click on it, it does not give me an option to open or to add to address book when highlighted. It basically acts like it doesn't recognize the attachment.

I looked in the tools and it looks like I have the attachment service installed, it shows 4.0.2 under applications.

Give it a reboot. Pull the battery out and reinsert. That's what fixed mine. If that doesn't work you may need to reinstall the OS.

Yeah the reboot worked. Kind of strange as it has been rebooted before but it works now.

Thanks Much!

Glad it worked. I posted a thread with the problem and didn't get a single response. I later posted the fix once I figured it out but no one ever replied. It was like I was the only one to ever have the problem, even though I had 3 users who had the same problem.
