Default Error: Unsupported authentication scheme

Please Login to Remove!

I selected "save password" when accessing a secure address. Now, apparantly it auto-provides the password, even after I cleared out the password cache. And now I get the Errror: Unsupported authentication scheme. When I look at the details of the 404 error issued from my webserver, it says that I have provided the wrong password.

Is there a way to clear this, so that it looks as if I've never accessed this page before?

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Jeff

I would venture to guess this is 1 of 2 things...

First, the webserver (intranet I would assume) does not allow plain/basic text logins, or

Second, you may have to put you domain name in front of your username, ie.

Username: DOMAIN\trigeek38
Password: ********

If the second option doesn't work, talk to your sysadmins and find out if plain text login is available, or if it uses windows authentication exclusively.

cd.

Default ERROR: unsupported authentication scheme

Hi All,

I am having the same error "unsupported authentication scheme" after pressing OK - > http error 407: proxy authentication required

"you must authenticate with a proxy server to view this page. please try loading a different page"

Please note:

My BES Server is running internet via a proxy server ( Proxy.servername.com:8080)

It does not uses any login and password

Amazingly sometime it works but some time does not.

The BES Service account also have access to internet on the windows domain.

------------------------------------

Can anyone guide me what is the architecture of BB internet via the bb device.

Thanks

WT

Default Error: Unsupported authentication scheme

To resolve this problem, complete the following steps:

1. In BlackBerry Manager, select <BlackBerry_Enterprise_Server_name>_MDS-CS_1.
2. Click Edit Properties.
3. In the Properties window, click HTTP.
4. Set Support HTTP Authentication to True, then click OK.
5. Restart the BlackBerry MDS Connection Service.

After completing this procedure, the BlackBerry device should prompt for authentication credentials when browsing intranet web pages.

I'm having the same problem, but I'm the only person I know at our company that is having this problem. The fix listed above is something only our Blackberry administrators can do, correct? Is there anything I can do?

When you are required to enter the Login/password details, does this store these credentials on the device ?
