Default I LOVE my 8700c.

Please Login to Remove!

Got my 8700c last wednesday.

I upgraded from an unlocked 7100t on the Cingulra network.

WOW. The 8700 is much better as a phone. Callers no longer complain about the quality, and I have full bars almost everywhere. (Southern California.)

The display is awesome, the EDGE is blazing fast. It's just a great great device.

I urge anyone who is hesitant to go out and get one.

Even if you don't like, odds are you can recover your money on eBay!

This is the first time I read the forum on my 8700, maybe because my font it too big, the pages don't format well, but the pages do come up quick and I could send this easily

Angry

My opinion:

Pros:
Screen is better
Faster internet

Cons:
Phone still sucks, kept getting drop outs
Form Factor (to big)
keyboard, could not get used to it.

Bottom line i went back to my 7100g

I guess this device would be good for someone that has a 7280/7290 or has not used one yet.

bubba12244 - sorry to hear that yours is not acting good as a phone. Mine is excellent, noticeably better than 7100g. Keyboard adjustment is improving. The only thing I liked better about the 7100g is that it is easier to type with one hand - but I'm not going back. I Love My 8700c.

This is weird ... I too had an ulocked 7100t and used it on Cingular. I upgraded to the 8 and I love it. EDGE is awesome, the device as a phone is excellent. My only problem with it is the size of the keyboard. I am having a hard time typing. I am 6' 4" and have big hands. Before the 7100t I had a 7280 and typing on it was great. I hope I can get used to it soon.
