Default Volume of Ringer on 8700c

Please Login to Remove!

Alot has been written here about the phone qualities of the 8700c, but I have been unable to find anything on the volume of the ringer.

Even on the loudest setting, my 7100 is difficult to hear. It can't be heard even across the room and certainly not when in my purse.

Is the ringer on the 8700c louder than the 7100?

Thank you for your help!

It is a bug. Make a call with your speaker phone and turn up the volume all the way then end the call and your ring tones will be loud.

I have to leave it on Low to be like a normal cell ringer, on the high setting I would be able to hear over my car stereo.

Richard, is your advice for the 7100 or the 8700? I have the 7100 and made many speakerphone calls turned up all the way and ended the call......no change in ringer volume.

And I thinking Melon's response means the 8700 has this problem too?

Airpopoff.....mine is no where near the volume you describe. I have trouble hearing it sitting next to the phone in a moderate noise situation. Is something (additiona) wrong with my phone?

I don't think so, do you have one of the polyphonic ringtones set? Mine is seriously ridiculously loud. Have you checked the profile settings and made sure it is on high?

The problem is the 8700c. I remember there was the same bug in the 7100t when it came out and they fixed it with a firmware upgrade.

Airpopoff, did you ever manage to fix your problem? My ringer is crazy loud, even when set to low.
