Default Uncompleted Task Error - Syncronization Issue?

Please Login to Remove!

I scanned the first page of posts and didn't see anything regarding this...hopefully someone here can help. I've got a 7100g.

I have 6 reoccurring tasks setup on my desktop PC in Outlook 2003. I haven't been able to sort out the order of acknowledging, dismissing, postponing or deleting that day's tasks that causes the issue, as it does not happen all the time. *edit - I think I've since figured out the order.

On my main screen, only when the keypad is locked, above the date and time appears a little clipboard with a number beside it. This number climbs as this software glitch occurs (IMO) indicating uncompleted tasks. I'm assuming it's, for whatever reason, not acknowledging that the task is complete, eventhough I have marked it as complete on my Outlook 2003.

*It happens if I don't acknowledge the Task reminder at all on my BB and clear it on my desktop first and only. ie. Reminder pops-up on PC, Dismiss it, wireless sync takes place, check BB, unlock keyboard - no reminder because cleared on PC, but then the clipboard appears when key pad is locked. Had I got to my BB still after dismissing it on my PC but before the wireless sync took place, I would still get the reminder on my BB and could then clear it, alleviating my problem. Or I could address the reminder on my BB before on my PC, again alleviating the problem.

IMO, it should know the task is complete through wireless synchronization. It annoys me that I have that little clipboard thing there with number that only goes up as the software error occurs.

**Oh, and if I mark a task as completed and then delete completed on my BB, it totally messes up my reoccurring tasks in Outlook. I have to reset them completely.

The only other way I've found to remove that little clipboard is by removing the battery and reinstalling.

Am I doing something wrong?

I'm really curious on an answer for this one. Does anyone else experience this?

If my long-winded explanation is unclear, I'd be happy to clarify.

Anyone? Am I the only one?

Anyone else have reoccurring Tasks set-up in their Outlook?

I don't have that problem with my tasks, but with my calendar reminders. I can't figure out how to get the little icon on the top of the screen to go away. It just keeps climbing with each reminder I get.

Does removing the battery solve the problem for you?

Yes....at that moment. It happens again, though.

Eventhough I have the lastest software version available, I DL'd it from my provider's website and reinstalled it again. The clipboard with numbers cleared...we'll see if I continue to have the problem.

Try acknowledging you Appointment reminder on you BB before Dismissing it on your PC. I don't think this should be necessary, but at the moment it is...for me anyway. Annoying!
