| Well, I think I've got it. Seemed the key was Wiping the device. Now when I restore to the 8830 it does import my data. When I tried the Switch Device Wizard I got a message saying that an application that uses dialup is open and that I should close it and Retry. We don't do any dialup; we use MSExchange. But anyway, I closed everything except what was involved with the Blackberry installation and what was in the system tray.... WinMessenger, Google desktop. I don't know what else there might have been interferring. However, bottom line, after the wipeout, the restore worked OK. Thanks |
