Hmmm...tie between WebMessenger and Yak-On. For simple IM Yak-On is the best, for something to leave running all day everyday I use webmessenger, actually keep both on at the same time mostly, different screen names...haaa. Thing I love about WMP is that is saves messages like a sidekick, so if you lose service and someone sends you an IM it will be delivered when you have service again, just like a sidekick.

Yes DEFINATLY some bugs, get messageoverflow error a lot when I sign on and program terminates, besides that it's pretty much solid. What bugs have you found? And have they send you an updated release?

When you say WebMessenger are you talking about http://webmessenger.msn.com or http://www.webmessenger.com/?

Have you tried VeriChat? In your opinion, how does it compare to WM?

I hate VeriChat, software sucks, never saves messages, everyone that IM's me gets System connectivity error messages, it doesnt connect. Overall useless. I am talking about www.webmessenger.com

Why do I never read about webmessenger in other IM discussion threads? Is it new? Or not as popular? I checked the site and it looks pretty established and solid, and cool. I am using IM+ right now, but will try the webmessenger before I purchase either. What are your thoughts on IM+ compared to this one?

I can't seem to find the settings for the notifications on mine. I went into the notifications area, but there are not any sound settings on mine, any ideas? When I am logged in and get messages, no sound...

To tell you the truth, never been a fan of IM+ I mean at the end of the day it is whatever works best for you, you know? I just never liked the software, the layout, and the way you receive messages, I am an IM addict so for that little message thing to comeup and prevent you from typing when someone IM's you and your composing a new IM kills me, little things like that, plus it is not reliable for me...never had one issue with WebMessenger usability, just a couple errors on 8700c.

No, not anymore as long as your TCP settings are correct. This goes for just about every other application that used to only work on the BES MDS

I tried those settings and still got the same error. I'm currently using the 3g Sim card, and am having proplems with every application that accesses the network. I'm going to get my old one switched back on today.
