Default Can't switch devices from 8220 - PLEASE HELP

Hi,
I just got a used 8800 for att. I updated the software to v4.5.0.174 with no problems. I am trying to use the Device Switch Wizard with Desktop Manager v5.0.1 to switch from my 8220 v4.6.0.305. Whenever I run it, soon after I connect the second device (the 8800) it tells me 'a fatal error has occured. Please try again'. But it happens every time. What did I do wrong . . . ?

I don't know what to tell you to fix the problem....... Did you figure it out?

If it were me, I'd try doing a hard reset on both devices, that is pull the battery for 30 seconds or more, then try again. If that doesn't work, just go ahead and back up the 8220 then restore to the 8800.
