You don't mean application loader, righ? You mean Backup/Restore module of Desktop Manager?

Run the manual backup and pay attention. Does it run at all? Or does it run but then error out on a particular database?

If it runs but then crashes on something like backing up profiles, the solution is to use advanced backup/restore in desktop manager to clear the corrupted database and start over. When you clear the profiles database your profiles will all go to default settings and custom profiles will be deleted. But you will be able to recreate your personalizations and complete a backup. If that is the issue. If it is crashing on contacts or something like that, we need to look at a different solution.

Loads of thanks to you. I used Advance feature of Backup/Restore of Desktop Manager and was able to take Back Up Successsfully.

But now I have a different problem altogether.
My Address Book got lost somehow during this process.

Now even if I try restoring from a BackUp file address book doesn't get restored at all.
The Restore Option doesn't show Address Book Database at all.

Kindly help.

Many Thanks again for your patient help and cooperation.

What if you try restoring contacts from next newest backup file?

Default Restore of Address Book failing fo 8800

The problem here is while exploring with Advanced feature of Backup/Restore my Address Book got vanished.,so the backup I took didn' have any address book entries.
So I thought of restoring address book from older backup files, but the restore option doesn't show Address Book at all although I am sure the old backup file should have address book entries in it.

Kindly let me know if you have an idea of how to et my address book back.

Thanks a load.
