Default trouble with sync

I'm a BB newbie. I have had no issues with my phone for about a month and in the last two days way too many.
I put a great deal of info into my Outlook calendar yesterday on the BB. when I went to sync today none of the data would go over to my workstation calendar. all of the info was put into past dates, all during the weeks of 11/20 thru 12/4, does this make a difference?
Also I loaded the new software on today, but no difference, still can't get the info onto the desktop.
also all of my calendar entries have duplicated themselves so now i have 2 entries for each appt. Any way to get rid of this w/o deleting each one?
While I am on a roll, i have had an issue with time zone changes. Does the phone automatically adjust for changes in time zone? I have tried both network and bb but in either setting the time on the phone will not shift to the proper zone. sometimes I'm in three in one day, a real pain that you have to go in and manually update. Any help there?? Thanks to all that repond. Great phone otherwise.

1 - I'm not sure about your sync problem. I'm not even sure I understand what you are saying. But if there is a time difference between the Outlook data and the blackberry after a sync, the first thing I think of is the time zone setting on the blackberry is different than the time zone on the computer and Outlook. I don't know what would cause a shift of several days.

If you are not referring to a time shift, then all I can advise is going back through you sync settings again. In calendar, pay attention to the day past and days future setting.

2 - The newest operating system has an option to turn on automatic time zone adjustment. Prior operating systems do not have the option. You will have to manually set the time zone.
