Has anyone checked out the high scores? Someone scored 118,360 points but only made it to level 4?? That's insane. I like the new function that the 8700's have. You can see the high scores and find your ranking.

There has to be a way to cheat. It's driving me nuts, I MUST find out how to break 20,000points!!!

I must find out how to beat 9000.. i always get stuck at the stage where the blocks are in a big metal U shape thing..

He got 118,360 because he flipped the game, after you run out of levels I think it starts over.

I have beat the "U" level but cant beat my 9515 high score. The next one is super hard too... I make it to the "U" level with 10 lives and leave with 1... I think brick breaker might cost me my relationship, is there a support group? a 12 step program?

I got over 15k on the 8700 whereas on the 7290 I never broke 10. I lost a lot of balls that were easy too. I can see getting a high score once you loop around once. I think I got up to level 31 out of the 34.

I could not get past 31,000 for a long time because of the higher speeds but then I suddenly managed to make it to the end (i.e. to level 34 for the second time.) From then on everything slows down and I have now passed level 34 15 times, my score is 255,390 and I have 65 lives. Presumably I should just keep going although it is pretty boring now. Any advice, anyone?

when i go to look at highscores my blackberry comes up with a website that says "Currently, the Leaderboard is only aailable or color blackberry devices." how do i fix this? my 8700 is a color blackberry...

It's not there , where do i find this application ?????

Had to stop playing I am concerned about that. Scored 8080, Level 16 or score 8325, level 14. No more I got free of that monkey. And I have not been playing video games in years.

U shape gets me too. I almost got past it with only one more brick and it sent the ball back down and killed me.

Yea I think the trick to the U Shape level is to get in there with AS MANY LIVES as you possibly can,because sure enough,you'll be losing a good majority of them.

I suppose thats the trick to the whole game then isnt it? =/

My U Shaped Strategy:

The key to beating the U shape is having enough lives to commit suicide once the bricks start to fall more than 1 or 2 levels. If you do this right, you only need to kill yourself 2 - 3 times, which is a heck of a lot better than loosing 8 lives the conventional way and only having 1 left to complete the next board.

If you recall, after you die, the bricks stop falling for at least a few passes through, where which you have the opportunity to clear more bricks. As they will eventually fall a little, once you are more used to working with the metal bricks close to you, but not on top of you, you'll be get better at being able to get the ball back up when the metal bricks get right on top of you. Kinda like training wheels, you know? After that level or maybe 1 or 2 more, it gets easier. It is almost strategy than quickness. You need to pause the game and decide how you will attack the board.

I came 1 hit of the last brick away from beating level 34 on my 7290 and since I upgraded to an 8700, I've gotten to 28000+ and 26000+ I don't think that the 8700 is easier though. I actually think it is harder as the bounces are less consistent and some of the strategies I used on the 7290 don't work. I think I just got better.

The worst part about beating the game is there is no fanfare - no princess coming out like after beating the Legend of Zelda or Super Mario. You just GO BACK TO LEVEL1!!! How unceremonious! The bricks start to drop A LOT faster. One time I got into the high 20s or early 30s for the second time. Whoever posted that it gets slower after clearing it for the 2nd time - would be interesting to see. Now I have another reason to play...
