Ok, I checked the stickies and google and still don't get it.

I am trying to install an app on the 8700C and I get "No system software was found for your device"

I deleted vendor.xml, made sure the latest desktop manager is on my PC. Still no love.

Please point me in the right direction

Thanks.

You need to install the handheld software. If you search the 8700 section you will find the URL in several locations. Once you download and install the handheld software you will be able to install your applications. You shouldn't need to delete the vendor.xml because it is the Cingular version of the handheld software.
