I got the above message on my 7100t - has been working fine all day until now.

Near my signal strength I just have lowercase gprs - 3 signal bars

Anyone else getting this from Tmobile?

When you have the lower case gprs showing you get voice and sms, but no data.

I was wondering if the network was down..ie was anyone else getting this message on their phone since TMO cust svc stinks as I have been on hold for 10 minutes just to get "did you turn the phone off and then on again"

I get this problem very intermittently with my 7280/Rogers.

There are 4 solutions (depending on your sense of urgency):

1. Wait a while. The blackberry will try to connect and may automatically get past this issue.
2. Turn GPRS off and on again. The new attempt to connect will often work.
3. Reboot the blackberry. I'm not sure about the 7100, but other models can be rebooted either by removing the battery or by simultaneously pressing Moon-Cap-Del.
4. Call your provider to make sure that your account is fine at their end. Based on my experience, though, this will not be the problem.

I had to reboot twice but got it to work and has since been fine. Thanks for your help.

BTW you were correct TMO said everything was fine with the account etc.
