Hi Everyone,

I recently received an old BB 7290 that is in good working condition. I upgraded the OS to version 4.1.0.466 but the Blackberry Messenger is not included in that OS so I can't install it using desktop manager.

Now, I have done some research and found out that there are 7290's out there with BBM so my question is, how can I get it on mine?

Download BBSAK and install it on your computer.

Use the install COD command and browse to the following folder:

C:Program Files/Common Files/RIM/Shared/Loader Files/(The OS Folder for your 7290)/Java

Select these two COD files to install them on your 7290:

net_rim_bb_qm_peer.cod
net_rim_bb_qm_peer_resource_en.cod

Once BBSAK has finished installing the two COD files, your 7290 will reboot and you will see your BBM icon on the home screen.

If it doesn't show, maybe you have an IT policy on your 7290 and you need to wipe that out first. Good luck.
