Default BB Messenger notification?

Please Login to Remove!

this question is being asked with the basis of what a friend told me, as i do not have a 7130e. he said that it's tough to know when he pulled his 7130 out of his pouch if he got a message in BB messenger, as there's no visual notification(the talk bubble icon) on his home screen, as he only gets the profile notification(vibrates, beeps). he used to have a 7250 before this, so he's not a complete idiot, so i imagine he played around to see if that can be changed... if this isn't true, and my friend's smokin crack, it'll be nice to hear. if this is something that's known with the 71xx series, then i guess i'd like to do a bit of research before i get my 7130, as i do use this app heavily.

thanks in advance guys/gals

I get the notification in the Verizon (red) area screen (lower right of that area). Looks like a small bubble.

Since BB Messenger is a RIM app, its hard to beleive they would have a device that doesn't have the notifications. More than likely, a reset will do the trick.... And tell your friend to lay off the pipe while you're at it!!
