Just unlocked my 8700c and says GSM with tmo sim.

Default Just unlocked my 8700c and says GSM with tmo sim.

Please Login to Remove!
I have BB account on my sim and it works fine with my tmobile 7230. It will only stay in GSM and will not go to EDGE on my unlocked 8700. I have reset it. Any ideas?

Glad you got it unlocked. Have you resent all your service books. Are you on BIS or BES? I would try those things first.

resend service boooks, and do HARD reset, power down and remove the battery, then reinsert battery.

Richard,
how did you unlock the 8700c? I am flying to Italy tomorrow and I would like to use it with my SIM card from TIM. I am totally new to this idea of unlocking the phones, and I am a bit concerned about getting a code on line from just anyone. I paid $$ for this thing and I canot kill it....

search girl, dont be lazy! i havent received my 8700c and i already know what to do. unlock it either via Cingular International Service or ebay - Adam selling instruction codes to unlock it.
