Default Syncing the 8700 to 2 computers

Please Login to Remove!

Is it possible to sync the device to 2 computers, one for personal use and one for work use? I only want to access one program on the personal computer which I can't load onto my work computer. All of my email is configured for Outlook on my work computer and I've been told by my admin that I will screw up the email if I try to use the BB with 2 computers. When I had a palm you could choose which programs would sync on which computers, but the BB device manager doesn't seem to have this option. Any suggestions?

Yes, you can sync with two computers and choose which programs to sync. You have to do it in Intellisync. I sync between two computers every day.

It is within the Intellisync application. Under each section (calendar, contacts, etc) you choose which app to sync with.

Be warned that it is only for PIM synchronization, the BlackBerry has to be set for wired sync and not wireless sync (your company may be wireless sync), and that it will all show up under the one application in the BlackBerry. For example, if you sync your calendar with your work and your home computer, you will then have one calendar on the BlackBerry that has both calendars. And if either computer is set to sync (so you can enter info on the BlackBerry and it will sync to the desktop) then all the info from the other computer will sync to that computer also.
