When I read email on my PC through exchange (BES) it does not appear that the unread messages in Pocket Day are reconciled. Is there something that I am doing wrong? I would have thought that this is very basic functionality.
same thing here (but not BES)........pocketday showing xx amount of unread emails, when in fact all are marked read through bb's proprietary software.
also, anyone try to use pocketdays RSS feed for traffic or news? i get the summary, but when i try to get the full story, pocketday goes to the bb browser which then cannot communicate with whatever page its trying to get. anyone else have this issue? is my browser set-up incorrectly?
On a BES server, it may take some time for the BB to get sync'd. Does the email show as read in the native BB mail program.
speedbagger, pop the battery out to reset everything. That should square up your email. Also, if you use Mark Prior Read, PocketDay will NOT get notified by the BB. THis is a known issue. For the get full story on RSS, that's a browser issue. I'm just trying to link to a web page that's most likely too complicated for the BB. Try changing your bb browser setting to emulate IE (browser / general options).
A manual reconcile does not seem to solve this problem as well. The native BB app seems to know that the emails have not been read but Pocket Day is not updated.
here's another issue i've got......i've setup for rss sports update under my news refreshing every hour. on the pocketday front page it appears to be updating every hour, but when i select the feed it goes to a summary page from october 16!? yes, a manual refresh squares things away for the moment but oct. 16 somehow keeps returning.......
I had the same problem with my email reconciliation on my 7100i. Now on my 7130e the weather and stocks don't update most of the time, sometimes one does but not the other. I have the BB set to refresh once per hour. RSS seems okay.

More oddness...I wonder if this has something to do with the network...the 8700 on Cingular and the 7100i on Nextel are both running the new OS version (4.1) and I've had no reports of issues. In fact, I have had many people get new PocketDay keys for the 7130 and have't had any problems reported directly.
Moose...did you try a hard reset (pop the battery out)?
For my weather, i had to disable the firewall. Pocketday kept telling me the connection it was trying to make was not allowed by my Internet provider (or something to that effect). I'm on Verizon.

I will try. My news updates but not the weather or stocks. The weather is not set to manual refresh (the box is not checked).

Ivy...there's nothing to configure as this is just built into the BB. PocketDay is supposed to get notified by the BB OS when mail changes state. I have a huge number of corporate users with no issues at all. I'm out of ideas for getting the reconcile to work. I would run through all your email settings (check the ones about handheld and server) and make sure that they are set up.
This is beyond frsutrating; there are no settings that seems to be off on the email side? Could this be a wap configuration issue? I am at the point where I may just un install that application. Having to read all of my email multiple time is not very productive? Would a refund be possible?
