Sorry if this is a dumb post but I'm new to the Blackberry scene. Just got my 8700r and downloaded bblocal via an over the air download. Didn't use the desktop software application loader. Everything seemed to load fine, created a login and password etc. All I get though is a message saying "Logging in. Please wait..." Nothing seems to happen after this. I can't figure out how to take the application off now. I go into the desktop software and application loader but it tells me that no system software was found for my device (not even the operating system software). My question is what am I doing wrong and how do you get rid of an application that doesn't work?

I have the same problem. I have been in contact with the support folks and they are aware of it. They just released a new version a few minutes ago. I'm not sure it fixed the problem for me, but you might try uninstalling the old and reinstalling new.

Like I said, I don't even know how to remove the application. When I go into the desktop software and launch the application wizard, it doesn't detect any software on my BB. Not even the OS. I don't know how else you would remove an application.

Go to Options, Advanced Options, Applications, highlight bblocal, click wheel, select Delete.

May ask to reboot, say Yes.

In my case, after I resolved by wap.cingular issues with Cingular and set my TCP correctly, bblocal worked fine. Before then, it just hung at the log in screen. Review the wap.cingular/tunnel error threads for further information.

I have emailed the developer and they are aware of some issues like "too many open connections" and are working to fix it. it appears to be carrier related.

Was that the error you get?

I can use it a little but then it stops with this problem.

This started after I was able to actually get the program to login and use the program.
